Slow start.....damn!

The start to my year has been much slower than anticipated. Was planning on going to Montauk, NY tomorrow but now there is word of a Eurasian Kestrel in California near Point Reyes. I may go nowhere because the way the flights work out there is no chance of flying in and out on the same day which turns a $40 trip into a $100-$150 trip. That is a big difference to us being a low income family of 5. It wouldn't have been an issue but an expected commision payment still hasn't come in and that is the determining factor. I am crossing my fingers that it gets here tonight.
The good news is that I am definatly going to Florida on the 26th of February! Hopefully the Florida Scrub Jay will cooperate as it did last year.
