SHARPIE THIS MORNING

I was out in the front yard this morning and heard goldfinches alarming. I got my scratched up rangers and scanned the trees. Nothing. Much of the trees are blocked by the houses. After I gave up looking a Sharp-shinned Hawk casually glided over down my driveway which made a jay squawk and then it was gone. cool. Nicer than the usual 100 house sparrows in my backyard that I wake up to.
Elle my 3 year old little princess girl said matter-of-factly, "I want some milk damn it." Nice. I don't know where she got that, COUGHmommyCOUGH, but I don't say damn it and I doubt she learned it in preschool.
