BIRDS AND BATS

Last week was spent in Indiana netting bats and the occasional bird. This week will be more netting up in Ohio. I got some poison ivy in unmentionable places which is just great. Some of the birding highlights included Northern Bobwhite, Red-headed Woodpecker, and a gaggle of White-breasted Nuthatches. Bats included Red Bat, Little Brown Bat and Big Brown Bat.

Indigo Buntings should go to bed on time!

It wasn't quite dark when we caught this cardinal with the plier beak of death.
