THE BIG SIT HAS BEEN SAT

True to form the "Big FAT Birders" team failed to show up to the Big Sit for the most part. One shining moment was when Liam showed up with enthusiasm to spare and was able to pull in Red-winged Blackbird(a new yard bird), Common Grackle and a Tufted Titmouse, all of which would have been missed otherwise. The team captian, e2 did stumble his fat ass outside for a moment to catch a Cooper's Hawk blast in in dramatic fashion to leave only a poof of feathers in the air floating to the ground. After that he drove to the Oxbow for some more unsuccessful birding excepting great looks at a Golden-crowned Kinglet leaving no one sitting & the memberless team floundering. Northern Cardinal proved elusive and was found in the final minutes of the day. American Robin was never seen. Liam was quoted as saying "I can't wait until next year!". When asked about next year the team captain said "Uh, I don't know....I hope there is something better to do that day." Way to go guys!
