RARE BIRD CHASING IS RUFF!

I am 0-2 in chasing down rare species this year. First the Streak-backed Oriole in CO. and now the Ruff in KY.. I went back the next morning(30th) to try again for the Ruff. I had a scare with a bird that stood out as different from all the others I was seeing but after some research and realization it turns out it was a Black-bellied Plover. Overall 8 new species for the year with Black-bellied Plover, Semipalmated Plover, Solitary Sandpiper, Spotted Sanpiper, Wilson's Snipe, Long-billed Dowitcher, Grasshopper Sparrow & American Pipit. If you are ever looking for a premier shorebird migration spot the transient lake McElroy is tremendous.
